Gudwara Visit

Last week Year 6 visited the Gudwara in Ilford.

We all took our shoes off and covered our hair with scarves before entering the Sikh place of worship.

We watched a reading from their holy book the 'Guru Granth Sahib' and then we were able to ask questions.

Afterwards we were offered a meal that included rice pudding!

We then went back into the main room of worship to watch Sikh gentlemen pray who used instruments, this was very interesting.
