Electricity day

Each group had the opportunity to do 3 activities throughout the day which included: constructing a range of circuits; group planning; testing conductors and making quiz games.

Victorian Inspector

In Year 6, we have been studying Victorian Britain. We found out what school life was like when we were visited by the 'Victorian Inspector.'

6SG's Assembly

On Friday 16th November, 6SG had their assembly. The children worked together to put on a polished, informative assembly.

DT in Year 6

This term, we are designing and making slippers. We have thought carefully about using bold patterns and we have practiced different sewing techniques. We will use the ‘blanket stitch’ to sew the sole together.

Gudwara Visit

Last week Year 6 visited the Gudwara in Ilford.

We all took our shoes off and covered our hair with scarves before entering the Sikh place of worship.

We watched a reading from their holy book the 'Guru Granth Sahib' and then we were able to ask questions.

Afterwards we were offered a meal that included rice pudding!

We then went back into the main room of worship to watch Sikh gentlemen pray who used instruments, this was very interesting.
